The highest paid players are also from among these top 10 teams. In 2012, the highest paid player is Alex Rodriguez who plays third base for the New York Yankees; his yearly income is $30,000,000. The New York Yankees have a very high payroll which has drawn attention and many criticisms.

When we mention Houston Astros or Atlanta Braves, Miami Marlins and Red Sox, then their all time rivals in the form of New York Yankees, or maybe San Diego Padres and San Francisco Giants, many of you, if not all, will be completely sure what we are talking about.
